Friction, Magic & Queens, is a series of risograph prints that explore contrasting mythologies between traditional gestures of rhetoric & soft head banging. Through a vigorous and critical analysis of the role that dynamism plays in communication, the sculptures and choreography developed from the original drawings will aim to illustrate that friction is productive when boundaries are respected. Referencing a diversity of subjective perspectives – these works speculate on interconnections between histories, to pronounce the value in staying with the trouble in order to work through.
